Control Android from your Mac

One mouse and keyboard across macOS and Android

Move your Mac’s mouse, trackpad and keyboard onto your Android tablet or phone. Open apps, use the home screen, scroll and type while looking at the device itself. Choose manual control or switch by moving the pointer across a screen edge.

Support: Control Android with your Mac’s mouse and keyboard

Control the whole device

Use Android’s launcher, apps and system navigation with the mouse and keyboard already at your desk. Neither screen has to be shared, and no Room is needed. Decky Display can stay in the background while you work in other Android apps.

Move across the edge

Turn on edge switching and place the tablet beside the matching Mac screen. Move into its windowed Extend desktop, or across its assigned edge when no desktop is being streamed. Return through the tablet’s outer edge facing a Mac screen. Mirror and Alone use manual control.

macOS and Android, side by side

With Decky in split-screen or a window, the Android pointer operates the Mac desktop inside Decky and Android apps outside it. Crossing between those apps keeps control on the tablet. A fullscreen Mac desktop uses normal display control; whole-device control becomes available again when Decky is windowed.

Direct USB or Wi-Fi

Direct USB provides Android with mouse and keyboard input, including hover and held keys. Wi-Fi uses Decky Display’s enabled Accessibility service for a visible pointer, clicks, scrolling, text and supported editing shortcuts. Wireless input does not provide hover or held-key behavior.

A shortcut to switch back

Start from the device’s control button or use the configurable keyboard shortcut. Press Esc twice to return to your Mac. The shortcut can take you back to the last Android device while it remains ready.

You decide when it runs

Control uses a paired device and the Mac’s Accessibility permission. Automatic edge switching is opt-in. End control from the Mac or Android’s notification to stop it; losing the connection returns input to the Mac.
