No ADB, no drivers, no developer options
Plug the tablet into your Mac and it becomes a screen. Nothing has to be switched on first, nothing is installed on the tablet, and nothing has to be put back afterwards.

It finds the tablet, not the dock
Plugged through a USB-C dock, the dock's own electronics can look like an Android device on the bus. Decky asks each one whether it really is the tablet instead of believing the first thing that looks right.
The cable always wins
Plug in while the tablet is already running over WiFi and the cable takes over by itself. There is no setting anywhere asking you to choose between them.
No network in it at all
A hotel network that keeps devices from seeing each other, an office your tablet will never be allowed onto, a room with no WiFi in it. A cable does not care about any of that.
Sound and your hands go down it too
The picture goes out and the sound goes with it. Your touches, your pen and the tablet's own keyboard come back the other way on the same wire.
One cable, nothing else
No dongle, no capture device, no second power supply. The cable the tablet already charges with is the cable.
