Step by step
- Open Decky on the Mac and install Decky Display on the Android device. Connect the device directly to the Mac with a cable that carries data.
- Unlock the device and accept Android’s accessory-app prompt if it appears. Open Decky Display if it does not open automatically.
- Complete the pairing confirmation on the Mac, then choose Use as display for the device.
- Open Decky on the PC. Install Decky Display on a supported Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi or POCO device and connect it directly to the PC with a cable that carries data.
- Unlock the device and accept Android’s accessory-app prompt if it appears. Open Decky Display if it does not open automatically.
- Type the code from the Pair a device window into Decky Display, then choose Approve on the PC. Click the Decky icon in the notification area and choose Extend or Mirror for the device.
What to know
USB debugging and developer options are not needed. Charging depends on the cable, port and device; a charging indicator alone does not prove the data connection works.

If it does not work
Try another data cable and Mac port, with adapters removed for the check. If the device only charges, follow Connection problems. The tested tablet range is still small.
Check Direct USB’s status in Decky’s Settings → Connection. If it says the device is not supported, connect over the network. If it says Direct USB is unavailable, choose Repair installation… in Settings → Maintenance. Try another data cable and PC port too.
