Terms
Last updated 2026-08-27
Plain terms for a product you buy once and then own. If something here is unclear, ask before you buy rather than after.
What you are buying
A perpetual licence to use Decky on your own Macs, two by default. It does not expire and it is not a subscription. Decky Display is free on every platform, including for joining a Room.
What the free version is
The free version is not a trial. It has no clock and does not expire. Paid features are not compiled into it, so there is nothing in it to unlock or bypass.
Guest passes
A guest pass gives you the full version free for fourteen days on one Mac. One per Mac. When it ends Decky drops back to the free version and carries on.
Refunds
Payment is handled by a merchant of record, and their refund terms apply to your purchase. Because the free version has no time limit, everything that does not depend on a licence can be tried before you spend anything.
What is not promised
Decky is provided as it is. There is no warranty that it will work with every device or every configuration, and the connection between your Mac and your devices is not encrypted. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid.
Acceptable use
Do not use Decky to display content you have no right to display, and do not share a Room with people who should not see what is on it. A Room code is a key. Treat it like one.
Changes to the product
Features may change between versions. A licence you bought keeps working on the version you have, because it is verified offline and does not depend on a server.
