Open Settings from Decky’s menu bar. The sidebar groups app, connection and output settings. Screens holds display placement and scaling; Devices holds the options for each receiver.
Step by step
- Open Settings from Decky’s menu bar on the Mac. General covers app behavior; Devices holds each device’s picture and input options; Security holds pairing and trusted devices; Licence holds activation.
- Use Screens for display placement and scaling, Audio for sound output and its driver, and Microphone for device audio inputs. Encoding holds codec and bitrate ceilings. Connection holds network and port options.
- In Decky Display on Android, open Settings for the device name, connection preference, automatic display opening, the Picture choices (Resolution, Refresh rate, Quality and Codec), Webcam and Microphone.
- Click the Decky icon in the notification area and choose Settings, or right-click it and choose Settings. The sidebar groups Decky (General, Licence, Maintenance), Devices (Devices, Security, Connection) and Picture & sound (Screens, Encoding).
- Devices holds each device’s Maximum resolution, Maximum refresh rate, Rotation, Video codec and Bitrate ceiling over Wi-Fi. Security holds pairing, discovery and trusted devices. Connection holds the Network switch, the port and firewall help.
- Screens holds Arrange displays in Windows Settings, where Windows sets position, scaling and the main display. Encoding holds the Wi-Fi ceiling and the Room budgets. Decky Display’s own Settings are the same with either computer.
What to know
In Decky Display, Picture holds Resolution, Refresh rate, Quality and Codec: the device’s requests. Right now shows what is actually streaming. The Mac can limit each one for that device in Settings → Devices. Maintenance on the Mac contains repair and reset actions; read their confirmation before using them.

Screen input and Controller input
In Decky Display, Touch holds the screen’s Natural or Classic style, pen behaviour, Automatic or Manual keyboard, Scroll speed and Scroll inertia. You can reach the same choices from the screen’s floating Touch panel.
Controller settings are separate: Keyboard offers Automatic, Always and Never, alongside Pointer speed, Scroll speed, Scroll inertia, Hold to drag and edge-scroll switches. Changing one surface’s settings does not retune the other.
