Getting started
Find the right setting
A map of Decky’s Mac settings and the options in Decky Display on Android.
Step by step
- Open Settings from Decky’s menu bar on the Mac. General covers app behavior; Devices holds each device’s picture and input options; Security holds pairing and trusted devices; Licence holds activation.
- Use Screens for display placement and scaling, Audio for sound output and its driver, and Microphone for device audio inputs. Encoding holds codec and bitrate ceilings. Connection holds network and port options.
- In Decky Display on Android, open Settings for the device name, connection preference, automatic display opening, render resolution, refresh rate, codec, quality, webcam and microphone.
What to know
Picture preferences such as resolution, refresh rate and codec are synchronized between the device and Mac. Quality and automatic display opening are Android app preferences. Maintenance on the Mac contains repair and reset actions; read their confirmation before using them.
If it does not work
If a control is locked, check Licence. If a value differs between devices, check the selected device in Devices before changing a global default.
