Connections & pairing

Link two computers with Decky Link

Link two computers that run Decky, then move one keyboard and pointer between them or open one as a screen for the other.

Your computer

Step by step

  1. Open Decky on both computers. On the Mac, find Decky Link in the menu bar panel or in Settings → Devices, and choose Link with another Decky.
  2. Choose the other computer under Nearby computers, or enter its address and port, and choose Connect. Approve the link on the other computer and type the code it shows, then choose Check code.
  3. On the computer’s card, choose Control, or turn on Switch at screen edges and choose its Side in Settings → Devices. Choose Use as display, then Extend or Mirror, to show this Mac there.
  1. Open Decky on both computers. On the PC, click the Decky icon in the notification area, find the Decky Link card and choose Link with another Decky.
  2. Choose the other computer under Nearby computers, or enter its address and port, and choose Connect, then Pair. Type the eight-digit code the other computer shows into Pairing code, choose Check code, and approve the link there.
  3. On the computer’s card, choose Control, or turn on Switch at screen edges and choose its Screen and Side. Choose Use as display, then Extend or Mirror, to show this PC there.

What to know

If the other computer has no Decky Display, it shows a notification with Get Decky Display.

If it does not work

If the computers cannot find each other, check that Network is on in Settings → Connection on both, or enter the address by hand. Unlock a computer to use it as a screen. Disconnect keeps the card until Connect is pressed on either computer or Decky restarts. Forget removes the link, and linking again needs a new code.
