Use a keyboard and mouse

Send input from peripherals connected to the Android device back to the computer.

Connect the keyboard or mouse to the Android device, using Bluetooth or its supported USB connection.

Step by step

  1. Connect the keyboard or mouse to the Android device, using Bluetooth or its supported USB connection.
  2. Connect Decky Display to the computer and open its desktop on the device.
  3. Focus an app on the computer and type or point as usual. Use Decky Display’s keyboard option if you want the on-screen keyboard instead.

What to know

The peripherals belong to the device, while the app receiving their input runs on the computer. Android can reserve some system shortcuts before Decky receives them.

If it does not work

Check that the peripheral works in an Android app first. Then check that the device is trusted or has control of the Room. On a Mac, check Decky’s Accessibility permission; on Windows, check that the PC is unlocked and the app is not running as administrator.
