Use a keyboard and mouse

Send input from peripherals connected to the Android device back to the Mac.

Connect the keyboard or mouse to the Android device, using Bluetooth or its supported USB connection.

Step by step

  1. Connect the keyboard or mouse to the Android device, using Bluetooth or its supported USB connection.
  2. Connect Decky Display to the Mac and open the Mac desktop on the device.
  3. Focus a Mac app and type or point as usual. Use Decky Display’s keyboard option if you want the on-screen keyboard instead.

What to know

The peripherals belong to the device, while the app receiving their input runs on the Mac. Android can reserve some system shortcuts before Decky receives them.

If it does not work

Check that the peripheral works in an Android app first. Then check the Mac’s Accessibility permission and that the device is trusted or has control of the Room.
