Touch
The whole Mac, under your fingers
Not a mouse pointer you drag around. Decky reads what your fingers are doing and turns it into what the Mac expects: taps, drags, scrolling, pinch, right-click and typing, with the tablet's own keyboard.
Hold for a right-click
Press and hold for half a second and the context menu opens under your finger. Two fingers tapped together does the same thing.
Two fingers scroll and pinch
Scrolling arrives as real scroll events with proper start and end phases, so momentum and rubber-banding behave. Pinch zooms.
Tap, double-tap, triple-tap, drag
Consecutive taps are counted and passed on, so selecting a word or a line works. Touch and move, and it is a drag rather than a stray click.
The keyboard knows where you are typing
When you focus a field, the Mac finds the caret and a "Type here" badge appears on it. Tap it and the tablet's own keyboard opens, and the picture lifts so what you are typing stays above the keys.
A hardware keyboard just works
Attach a keyboard to the tablet and it types on the Mac, chords and all. The badge gets out of the way, because you clearly do not need an on-screen keyboard.
A second finger is never too late
Put one finger down, add another a moment later, and it becomes a scroll rather than a drag that has already started. The pointer still moves the instant you touch, so nothing feels held back while Decky works out what your hand is doing.
