Annotate
Notes, highlights and pointers over your screen
Add notes and highlights over the screen without changing the document underneath. Annotate works on the host Mac and in Decky Display on Mac and Android. Use it independently on the host, together in a Room, or with Decky Desktop during a call. The separate Stylus feature draws inside Mac apps.
Annotate from any of the three apps
Use the pen, marker and pointer on the host Mac, in Decky Display for Mac or in Decky Display for Android. On either Mac, annotate with the mouse. The pointer draws attention without leaving a line.
Touch and pressure-sensitive stylus on Android
Annotate with your finger or a supported stylus on Android. Pen pressure controls the width of annotation strokes. Touch input is ignored while the stylus is down, so resting your palm does not add marks.
Annotate together in a Room
Share your screen in a Room to annotate with other people. Several viewers can annotate at once, each in their own colour.
Room viewers ask to annotate
A Room viewer can ask to annotate without taking control of the Mac. Guests need the host’s approval. Annotation and control permissions start off again when a viewer reconnects.
Let marks fade, or keep them
Marks fade by default. Turn on persistent ink to keep them after lifting the pen, then clear them when you are finished.
Undo your last stroke
Undo a stroke or clear your own marks. The host can clear everyone’s marks. The original slide, document or app stays unchanged.
