Desktop as a webcam
Your workspace, marks and face in one camera feed
Start a share in Decky, then select “Decky Desktop” in a compatible Mac app’s camera picker. A screen, window or spare desktop becomes the picture sent into the call. Combine it with Annotate and an optional webcam overlay. People watching use their usual devices and apps, such as FaceTime and Teams.
Choose what the camera shows
Pick a Mac screen, a single window or a spare desktop. A spare desktop gives the presentation a workspace of its own.
Switch the source during a call
Change screens or windows inside Decky while the app keeps “Decky Desktop” selected. Stopping the share removes that camera from the list.
Combine it with Annotate
Draw over the workspace you are sharing. Decky Desktop includes those annotations in the outgoing camera picture, so people in the call can follow what you mark and point to.
Add a webcam, including a Decky Cam
Use a built-in or connected webcam for the overlay. A camera supplied by Decky Display works too: macOS lists it as a native camera under the device’s name with “(Decky Cam)” after it.
Move, resize or hide your face
Place the floating webcam where it suits the presentation. Resize it, hide it and bring it back. A flip control mirrors the outgoing picture when needed.
The call keeps its own microphone
Decky Desktop carries the picture. Select the microphone separately in the call app. That app also controls the quality sent to the people watching.
