Play Mac sound on the device
Mirror the Mac’s sound or use a device as a separate audio output.
Step by step
- On the Mac, open Decky Settings → Audio and enable Send system audio to the tablet. Sound is off by default.
- Choose whether audio mirrors the Mac or uses separate device outputs. Mirroring works without installing an audio driver.
- For separate outputs, install the Decky Audio driver from Audio settings. Select the device in macOS Sound settings or an app’s output picker. Adjust listening volume on the device.
What to know
System audio is a paid feature and works over USB or the local network. The audio driver is also used by Microphone; it is one shared installation.
If it does not work
Check mute and volume on the device, the selected Mac output and whether sound is enabled. If separate outputs are missing, inspect the driver status in Audio and use Reinstall when offered.
