Use the device as a microphone
Bring an Android microphone into a Mac call or recording app.
Step by step
- In Decky Display Settings → Microphone, enable Show up as a microphone on your Mac. Allow microphone access on Android.
- On the Mac, open Decky Settings → Microphone and enable Let devices be microphones on this Mac. Install or repair the shared audio driver in Audio.
- Select the device named with (Decky Mic) in the Mac app’s input picker. In Decky Settings → Devices, use that device’s meter and input level to test it.
What to know
Microphone requires the full version. Offered means available, not recording: the device starts listening when a Mac app opens the input and stops when the last app closes it. This is independent of sound sent to the device.
If it does not work
Check both microphone switches, Android permission, the driver status and the app’s chosen input. If the level is low, adjust it for that device in Devices.
