Use the device as a webcam
Choose an Android camera in a Mac video app.
Step by step
- Pair the device. In Decky Display Settings → Webcam, enable Show up as a camera on your Mac and allow Android camera access.
- Complete Decky’s camera-extension approval on the Mac when prompted. In the device’s Webcam settings, choose an available camera and resolution.
- In your Mac video app, select the device named with (Decky Cam) in the camera picker.
What to know
Webcam requires the full version and works over USB or the network, with or without a second desktop. Offering the camera makes it available; capture starts when it is opened by a Mac app or the device’s camera control.
If it does not work
If the camera is missing, check the extension approval and reopen the video app. If it is listed but blank, check Android camera permission, the selected lens and whether another app is using that lens.
