Sound, camera & Rooms
Start or join a Room
Share one Mac screen with several viewers on the local network.
Step by step
- On the presenting Mac, use Decky’s Room controls to choose the screen to share and start the Room.
- On each viewing device, open Decky Display on the same network and join using the Room’s six-character code.
- Guests can watch for free. To interact, a guest requests control and the host decides whether to allow it.
What to know
Starting a Room is part of paid Decky; joining is free. A Room code grants access to that Room, not permanent trust. A device sharing its screen into a Room is a different action from becoming an extended Mac display.
If it does not work
If joining fails, confirm the Room is still running and use its current code. Check the local network. There is no published hardware-tested Room capacity or performance guarantee.
