Choose Extend, Mirror or Alone
Give the device its own desktop, show an existing screen, or bring the desktops together.
Step by step
- Connect and pair the device, then choose Use as display in Decky’s menu bar.
- Choose Extend for more desktop space. Choose Mirror to show a screen the Mac already has, then select the screen to mirror.
- Choose Alone when you want the other desktops brought together on the device. Return to Extend when you want separate desktops again.
What to know
Alone brings the screens into a mirrored arrangement. It does not switch the physical Mac or monitor panels off. In Extend, macOS lists the Decky display alongside your other monitors.
If it does not work
If a window is missing, check the screen arrangement and which mode is active. If Mirror shows the wrong content, select the intended source screen.
