Draw and point with a pen
Use supported stylus input in Mac drawing apps.
Step by step
- Connect a compatible Android device and stylus, then open a drawing app on the Mac’s Decky display.
- Select a brush that responds to pressure. Draw with different pressure and tilt to check what the pen and app support.
- Hover to point when the hardware supports it. Use the eraser end where available, or touch and hold with the pen for a right-click menu.
What to know
Pen features require the full version. Pressure, tilt, hover and eraser behavior depend on both the stylus hardware and the Mac app. A basic capacitive pen cannot supply pressure data it does not measure.
If it does not work
If strokes act like mouse input, check the licence, Accessibility permission and the app’s brush settings. Compare in another pen-aware app to separate app behavior from a connection problem.
