Set up your first display

Choose the right app for each device and put a Mac desktop on another screen.

Step by step

  1. Install Decky on the Mac that supplies the desktop. Install Decky Display on the Android device or Mac that will show it. The download page lists the available apps.
  2. Open both apps. For a network connection, put both devices on the same local network. Direct USB is an option for Android with the full version of Decky.
  3. Select the Mac in Decky Display and complete pairing. In Decky on the Mac, choose Use as display for the device, then choose Extend or Mirror.

What to know

The Mac needs macOS 14.0 or later. Android needs version 8.0 or later. Decky Air is a separate AirPlay receiver; it is not the display app for this setup.

If it does not work

If the Mac is missing, follow the connection guide. If it connects but shows no desktop, check Screen Recording permission on the Mac.
