Mac to Mac
Any Mac can be the screen, and you can drive it
Decky Display runs on macOS as its own app. A second Mac, or the laptop somebody brought to the meeting, can be a display, a viewer, or something you reach across and use.
A real app, on its own
Decky Display for macOS installs and runs without Decky on the same machine. It needs no permissions at all: no Screen Recording prompt, nothing to approve in System Settings.
Keyboard and pointer go back
A Mac showing another Mac's screen can drive it. Your keyboard and trackpad reach across, so the machine in the other room is one you work on rather than one you watch.
Ask for the shape you actually want
Take the other Mac's main screen, a particular monitor of its, a fixed size, or a desktop cut to the size of one window. Choose before connecting: the screen is built to that shape and cannot be stretched afterwards.
Pick from its windows, hidden ones too
The Mac offers its window list with the hidden and minimised ones marked. "Put my mail on this screen" works without going to find the mail first: Decky brings the window back and fits it.
An Android tablet can be the source too
A trusted Android device can push its own screen to the Mac. On the cable you can reach back and drive the tablet from the Mac; over WiFi there is no way back, so that one is watching only.
A Mac can sit in a Room too
Decky Display is the same app on macOS as on Android. So a Mac is not only a second screen you drive. It can also join a Room and watch what somebody else is presenting.
