Every hard part lives here
Creating a display the computer believes in, the USB accessory handshake, screen capture, hardware encoding, event injection and the sound are all on this side. The clients decode and send input back.
Not in an app store
It is sold directly. On a Mac it uses private display APIs and claims a USB interface, and either one is a rejection from the Mac App Store, so it is signed with a Developer ID and notarised by Apple instead. On Windows, Decky Setup installs its own display and USB drivers.
Bought once, then it stops asking
The licence is checked once, when you activate it, and from then on against a key inside the app on your own computer. No periodic check.
